We’ve been dreaming of summer over here at the shop this week. Now that school is out and the temperature is rising, it’s time to open up the doors and spend some much needed quality time outside. Here are seven amazing backyard spaces that made our team favorites list this week.
Fire Pit Haven

Somebody hand me a marshmallow stick ‘cause this fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs is the perfect place for late night laughs over s’mores.
Picnic Time

Everything about those four perfectly imperfect light fixtures and huge green leaves paired with ginger flowers on the table make me want to be stranded on an island...with a private chef of course.
And The Livin' Is Easy

I love how they built this beautiful sectional out of wide wood planks. The cement coffee table really anchors the space and is the perfect place to put your feet up and relax.
Pergola Perfection

Whoever found all of the straight and perfectly sized branches to make this amazing pergola space is truly an artist! I love how the light trickles in on this pair of couches with over-stuffed pillows you can sink into.
Veranda Life

That beautiful blue and white tile makes such a statement in this patio space. Put me in that high-back chair with a good book and I might not ever leave.
Stumped

I love the reuse of these tree trunks into extra seating on this charming bungalow patio. The wood table made out of spare 2x4’s makes the perfect makeshift eating area when you want to bring the party outside.
Hideaway

The modern take on this privacy screen looks so inviting with the string lights and potted plants in front of it. By adding a rug and little table, they were able to create such a cozy gathering spot.
Have you done a Plank & Mill project and ended up with a few extra planks? Why not DIY the cutest reclaimed wood tray to accessories your outdoor space? Here we took a spare 1 x 10, used 3 extra planks to cover the top, cut down a few planks lengthwise (lengthwise cut tutorial here) to cover the edges and found the prettiest gold drawer handles to screw through the tray and use for the handles. And done!
